Our client brought their love of Western lodges to a magical, hidden property on the bank of the Chagrin River. The design evolved from evocative sketches through a 3-D model of the elaborate timber frame structure defining the core of the house. Much of the ash frame, walnut floors, and the cherry beams and walls of the sitting room were logged on site. A built-in booth provides a cozy seating spot, sheltered yet connected to the expansiveness of the timbered great room.
