George Clemens has been designing new homes and additions in Northeast Ohio for over 20 years. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked at top architectural design firms in San Francisco, New Haven and Cleveland. George's fascination with construction technique is based on early experience framing houses in Denver, Colorado and later during his Yale Architecture School Building Project.
A 1981 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, George received a liberal arts education at Williams College (B Arts '86) and studied architecture at Yale University (M Arch '93).
His inventive approach has resulted in three U.S. Patents for innovative residential construction methods; his Wall System is the foundation for the sustainable Elements of Living™ home design series.
A resident of the Chagrin area for 25 years, he and his wife Ruth have raised two wonderful daughters here and continue to enjoy our beautiful village. A member of the Chagrin Falls Architectural Review Board for the last fifteen years, he also serves as a consultant for the Chagrin Falls School District Master Planning Committee.
Peter joined the Clemens team in April 2016. Prior to receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from KSU, Peter freelanced in graphic design. This early interest in visual composition provided a smooth transition into the architectural profession in both drawing and rendering techniques.
Modeling and visualizing each unique space are the most exciting steps for every home design and is what keeps him captivated by residential architecture. A talented photographer, Peter is responsible for the in-house photography of current and past projects.
Peter recently purchased and renovated his first home in Kamm's Corner during the spring of 2020.
Heather has enjoyed being a part of the George Clemens team since 2018. She completed her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and received a Master of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College.
She remained in the Boston area with her family for more than 15 years where she focused on residential architecture and the challenges of an urban environment. Heather has enjoyed bringing her New England influence back to her native state of Ohio.
She is passionate about creating traditional architecture that provides functional yet beautiful space for modern day living.
Cory is an architect with a God-given passion for the creative process. He studied Architecture at Kent State University and has spent the entirety of his 15+ year career in Northeast Ohio working on a wide variety of project types including institutional, industrial, mixed-use, commercial and residential. Cory has almost as many years dedicated to service. From coaching to being elected as a councilmember in his hometown, he has sat on his local Historic District Architectural Review Board and currently sits on the Planning Commission.
Cory joined GCA in 2023 and enjoys being part of the talented team assembled here. With each project, he looks forward to creating thoughtful designs with an attention to detail needed to make each client’s project beautifully unique. A problem-solver by nature, he loves the opportunity to dig into the most challenging aspects of a design. The goal is to craft solutions that will function for the needs of the client while fitting the composition of the overall design intent. He enjoys building a relationship with clients during design and working alongside engineers and contractors throughout construction.
When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his wife and kids; listening to oldies while sketching, watching or playing sports; and watching a good movie.
